Our Service Delivery Model: Train-the-Trainer

At the heart of YESNet’s approach is our “train-the-trainer” model. We empower partner organizations by equipping their staff with the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary to educate clients effectively. This model ensures a sustainable impact, as trusted, trained leaders will continue to foster learning within their communities.

The curriculum features eight engaging modules designed for individuals interested in building and sustaining their own businesses. It’s fully customizable, allowing easy adjustments or removal of modules to meet specific needs. Each module includes resources for a dynamic learning experience:

 

    1. PowerPoint Presentation
    2. Facilitator’s Guide
      • Module Overview and Alignment: Facilitators can quickly align content delivery with the workshop’s purpose, goals, and learning outcomes, using suggested leading questions to frame discussions effectively.
      • Efficient Preparation and Time Management: Provides practical prep steps to ensure activity materials are ready ahead of time, allowing for smooth, uninterrupted facilitation and optimal time management.
      • Assessment Tools: Key assessment tools are highlighted to help facilitators gauge participant understanding throughout the workshop and prepare for final assessments.
      • Engaging Activities for All Formats: Offers a variety of in-person and virtual activities designed to maintain participant engagement and interest.
      • Detailed Slide Breakdown: Includes a slide-by-slide breakdown, recommended timings, and talking points, helping facilitators deliver a seamless and professional presentation.
      • Participant Workbook Integration: Facilitators are guided on how to reference the workbook, ensuring participant engagement and reinforcing key concepts throughout the session.

      • Structured Workshop Outline: The workbook provides a clear agenda, leading questions, and defined learning outcomes, giving participants a structured pathway to understanding key concepts.
      • Takeaway Resource: The workbook serves as a valuable reference for participants, containing worksheets, activities, and additional resources they can revisit to reinforce their learning and support their journey in entrepreneurship.
      • Integrated Self-Assessment Tools: Includes various self-assessment activities, enabling participants to evaluate their entrepreneurial potential and reflect on their personal strengths and growth areas.

 

The Curriculum & Training

To support our mission and your success, we offer a collection of free tools and resources for Employment Specialists who are looking to expand their programming and adapt their practices to better serve individuals exploring entrepreneurship as a career option.

The new curriculum is now available for download for free across the country through the YESNet program. Each of the modules includes a facilitator’s guide, participant workbook and PowerPoint presentation. Covering topics such as: social media platforms for business and social media marketing, the opportunity identification process and mental health and self-care for entrepreneurs – an often overlooked but important aspect of entrepreneurship training.

YESNet also offers both in-person and virtual training sessions to support staff in effectively using the curriculum. These sessions provide guidance on workshop facilitation and practical tips for making the most of the provided resources.
