Grizzly ASE is looking for a full-time Machinist to join our growing team!

The ideal candidate for this role has a positive attitude and excels in an ever-changing, fast-paced work environment.

Job Description: As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production and operation of various machinery to complete the production. Your expertise in operating and setting up machines, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring quality control will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains manual lathe, drill and milling machines.
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of completed products.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to discuss production strategies and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating machinery

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in manual machining is preferred
  • Proven experience as a manual Machinist, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting – 3 years
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment operation (lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc.)
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges accurately
  • Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
