FACILITIES/GENERAL DUTIES CLERK

We are currently seeking a Facilities/General Duties Clerk to join our Facilities Department. The right candidate will be someone who is responsible, adaptable and able to work well within a team.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Facilities Department Supervisor, this position will be responsible for performing the following:
- Fulfilling all mailroom and facilities services requests, including but not limited to handling courier shipments, registered mailings, regular mailings with Canada Post and internal mail;
- Assisting with file openings and conflict checks (administrative procedures);
- Setting up meeting rooms, restocking coffee stations and supplies in the kitchens, maintaining cleanliness of kitchens, reception areas and other common areas throughout the premises;
- Transporting and restocking paper for printers/photocopiers; and
- Accepting other office-related duties as assigned.
- This position is very active and requires the following actions: sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping. There is a need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds (i.e. stacks of paper, banker boxes, light furniture, etc.)
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of related experience in a high-volume office or similar environment, preferably working with on-line courier shipping systems, postage meters, printers/copiers and binding equipment.
- Demonstrated track record of reliability and dependability.
- Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to firm members’ needs and communicate appropriately.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to convey information in-person and via email.
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and able to handle a variety of tasks and priorities with a strong sense of completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word and Excel.
