Bizstart Entrepreneurship – full-time, six month entrepreneurship training program helping youth start a business

  • offers training in marketing, business planning, management and other topics

Workability – The YES WorkAbility (YWA) Project

  • assist employers in creating inclusive and accessible workplaces for persons with mental health disabilities.

Student services – summer and year round employment service for youth 15-30 years seeking work

YES2Trades – pre-apprenticeship training for commercial, residential, and industrial painting trades

  • 8-week painting trade training program including health and safety, WHMIS, first aid and other safety training and life skills

Job Central

  • assists youth 15 – 30 years of age to find employment through group-based employment skills training and quality employment placements
  • two weeks of group-based employment and life skills workshops, where youth receive minimum wage
  • upon successful completion of the training period participants can enter a paid full-time eight-week work placement, with the goal of permanent employment at the end of this placement period

Eligibility requirements:

  • Canadian citizenship, permanent resident, or Convention Refugee status
  • legally entitled to work in Canada
  • out of full-time work and school, and looking for full-time employment
