Youth Collaboration

The Youth Collaboration program assists youth 15 – 30 years of age to find employment through group-based employability skills training and a work experience placement. The program provides holistic services for youth who are out of school, unemployed, and are facing barriers to finding a job.

The program begins with two to three weeks of group-based employability and life skills workshops. Youth receive minimum wage and TTC tokens. Upon successful completion of the training period participants may qualify for a paid work placement, up to a maximum of ten weeks with the goal of permanent employment at the end of placement period.

All youth selected for the program must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Canadian citizenship, permanent resident, or Convention Refugee status
  • legally entitled to work in Canada
  • not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits

If you a social service organization or community worker and would like to refer a youth  please contact us for the referral package.
