Program details:
- 12 weeks of classroom instruction
- 4 weeks of work placement
- 6 months of job search assistance

GUEST SPEAKER: NPower Canada — Contact Centre Professional Program
NPower Canada provides a free program that will train individuals for entry level careers within contact centres. The program includes 6 weeks of in-class training followed by job placements (majority of placements will be full-time employment) with their partner organizations. Participants can expect to earn anywhere from $14 to $22 per hour (plus benefits in many cases).
Basic eligibility criteria: Youth between the ages of 18 and 29 years old who:
- Have completed high school/GED
- Are eligible to work in Canada (valid work permit)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have experienced difficulty pursuing further education and/or finding employment
- Have strong English language skills (e.g., CLB Level 7-8)
- Are motivated to work
