CBC Radio Ontario Today Talk Show hosts YES Tim Lang

May 30, 2025 – CBC Talk Show “Ontario Today” on CBC Radio One with host Hallie Cotnam featured guest Timothy Lang from YES – Youth Employment Services for its hour-long call-in show. Callers discussed summer jobs they had as youth and what it takes today to secure a summer job. Lang discussed some of the key activities required, including casting a wide net and thinking outside the box to secure work. Callers confirmed that jobs are available in all sorts of unusual sectors, as one caller had a job as a worm picker, and another as a ghost in a haunted house! Many of the callers’ jobs were so fun and memorable—some for great reasons, and others for the learning experience or the friendships made.
