Thanks so much to Christy Mingo from Dynacare for coming to visit YES and the BizStart group! YES is thrilled to name Dynacare as a supporter of our BizStart program. BizStart is an intensive six month business incubator program that empowers youth to start and run their own businesses by teaching critical entrepreneurship, employability and life skills.

Youth Employment Services YES is thrilled to be hosting the Compass: Finding Direction Through Mentorship event on March 22, 2017. This event is the first of its kind to be hosted by YES and will combine a unique networking and mentorship opportunity for 50 at risk youth with the YES youth achievement awards in employment, empowerment and entrepreneurship.

YES CEO Timothy Lang sat as a panelist at Osgood Hall’s Economic Summit in February, 2017, speaking about Youth Employment and possible solutions, some of which are provided by YES. He also was asked to judge a case competition at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate, judging several teams and 70 high school students.

These job seekers received interview advice and best practice tips from hiring managers as well as one on one mock interviews! The sun is out and our pavements are becoming clogged with runners – yes it’s that time of year again to start training for the 2016 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Charity Challenge!
Youth Employment Services YES is once again participating in the annual Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 16, 2016 as we raise much needed funds for Toronto’s most at-risk youth. You can read more about the youth we serve here.
Although YES has made a considerable difference over the past 48 years, there are still thousands of youth that need our help.
