We’ve said for years that our programs empower youth. But maybe we should explain what that means.

For our country’s most vulnerable youth, those who grow up surrounded by poverty and crime, empowerment can be a renewed sense of self-confidence.

It can be the confidence needed to make better life choices, to walk away from gangs and crime and become leaders in their communities.
