Job Duties

Throughout the week, develop a short play based on a story book or a song. The children ages 4 to 12, should all play a role and should rehearse, prepare props, etc. The play should be presented/performed by the end of the week- Friday.

1- Gathered the group in a "family circle" set the tone of mutual respect and tolerance for the time we are together. Have the children introduce themselves to the group.
2- Select the theme: story, song to develop the play.
3- Get the children involved in a discussion as to what role they would like to play.
4- Assign roles to the children.
5- Assign lines/parts/verses for the children to practice.
6- Guide and supervise the children while preparing props for the play.
7- Facilitate and guide rehearsal on a daily basis
8- Present the play at the end of the week - Friday

Skills and Qualifications

- Theater/drama background
- First aid/CPR training
- Be willing to go through the vulnerable sector screening
- Speak fluent English.
This is a summer position - July and August
