Baking company in the Junction that aims to create memorable experiences for their guests is looking for a full-time Front of House Manager who has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and a knack for leading a growing team through the fast paced day-to-day operations of the bakery. This includes maintaining front of house organization systems, efficiency, and providing top-notch customer experience!

the  successful candidate has 1-2 years experience working in a management role within the food service industry, in addition to 1-2 years experience of working within a customer service role. You have a positive attitude, natural leadership and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. This role works closely with our Production Manager to lead our staff to provide the highest quality standards for healthful food, and guest experience while maintaining positive company morale.

- Oversee POS and cash handling including; opening till, cash audits, daily deposits and correct operation of POS system

- Ensure high food quality, product consistency and presentation

- Ability to execute all FOH positions in order to support or perform when needed

- Manage and delegate daily and weekly checklists and tasks and ensure team is upholding accountability and timeliness

- Coach staff. Set the tone by driving sales methods and operating standards through continuous training, spot-checking procedures and knowledge testing.

- Encourage and motivate front of house team including notes of praise and constructive feedback

- Guest relations; log and handle any concerns or comments with a timely follow-up. Ensure proper communication is received from team and communicate with senior management as needed

- Attend weekly meetings with Production Manager and administrative team to ensure and support weekly operations and planning

- Produce weekly/monthly item sales reports using POS system and distribute to kitchen management  for production planning

- Maintain supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating requirements; submitting orders to office; verifying receipt; stocking items

- Prepare encouraging weekly correspondence via email to FOH team to provide feedback and to highlight positive team efforts

- Interview and hire Front of House staffing roles

- Execute off-site scheduled visits to support retailer partnerships, company events and trade shows

Skills & Qualifications:

1-2+ work experience in a progressive Front of House management role (or equivalent)

1-2+ years work experience in a customer service role

Comprehensive knowledge of customer service, cash handling procedures, product presentation and sales

- Proven understanding and success managing food and labour costs

- Knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal health and safety requirements

- Thorough understanding of food service and front of house management procedures

- Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks

- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem solving

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

- Food Handlers certified (or willingness to acquire certification)

- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time

- Ability to lift over 25lbs is required

- Ability to speak English fluently

- Knowledge of Paleo, Keto and other related dietary lifestyles is an asset
