-Communicating issues to parents in a positive, professional and respectful manner.
-Participating in meetings with parents and other professionals to ensure child's and families needs are met.
-Participating in discussions with outside agencies to ensure the most appropriate individual program plan is developed for the child.
-Completing appropriate documentation and reports for each child including files of developmental progress and samples of work
-Keeping accurate records of : daily attendance, daily activity plans, reasons for absences
-Attends regular staff meetings and participate by contributing information, presenting to others, asking questions to clarify information
-Helps parents to understand the program by providing verbally or written communication
-Communicating openly and honestly.
-Listens actively and asks questions.
-Open to suggestions and criticism.
-Communicating positively and clearly on the telephone.
-Assisting with monthly newsletters by providing input regarding activities from the classroom
-Participating in professional development through continuing education   courses, workshops and local conferences, discussions, readings etc… The centre is committed to supporting these opportunities through the stated

Skills & Qualifications:

-Graduate of an Early Childhood Education program at an institution recognized by the Ministry of -Community and Social Services
-Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
-Clear Police Reference Check that include Mental Health Screening
-Knowledge of Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement
-Excellent communication Skills
-Health Assessment
-Knowledge of DNA
-Knowledge of ELECT programming and Documentation
-Ability to work independently and with other team member
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Ability to work in shared space  environment with other Professionals
