eYES

eYES is a computer training program whereby youth are hired and trained to teach seniors
how to use computers and navigate the internet.

Pairing together the lack of opportunities to gain employment experience, and the lack of structured opportunities to gain leadership skills through positive life experiences, YES has
partnered with the St. Clair West Services for Seniors to provide YES clients with an empowerment based learning experience to help build the skills necessary to secure and maintain employment. eYES will accomplish this by building a sense of self worth among the youth participants and enhance their perceived value of themselves and to society as a whole.

Youth will receive training on instructing seniors to use computers. As a youth instructor, you will teach seniors how to:

1) Navigate the internet
2) Set-up and use email
3) Join an online social network

Youth will receive training in facilitation, TTC supports, and will be paid for participating in the program.
