April 4, 2012 – New Business Movement is one day conference designed to inspire and educate youth who dream about starting their own business. Register NOW!

New Business Movement will educate, empower and connect young entrepreneurs across Toronto through keynote speeches and business workshops. Workshops are being offered on the topics of business planning, sales, social media and working in the arts. The workshops will cover specific industries like fashion, web development and fine arts.

The event is being hosted by Youth Employment Services, Scadding Court Community Centre, City Of Toronto, Enterprise Toronto and is co-sponsored by RBC and Pita Break.

Sep 1, 2011 – YES is looking for a dedicated team of youth leaders to volunteer on the YES Youth Empowerment Advisory Panel (YEAP)! The group aims to give youth skills in leadership development, youth advocacy, event planning and outreach.

Involvement will include:

Act as YES ambassadors in the community
Act as champions on social issues affecting youth
Design youth engagement projects and events
Provide feedback on YES programs and services
Evaluate marketing and outreach initiatives

Do I Have What it Takes? Join YEAP if you:

Live in Toronto
Are aged 15 to 30
Can offer four hours a month from October to June
Can attend two meetings a month from October to June
Want to work with all kinds of youth from your city to make a difference

1. Complete the BizStart Application Form and submit to the Youth Business Centre at Youth Employment Services YES in person

2. Complete the Youth Employment Strategy – Participant Information Form

3. When the BizStart Application and the Youth Employment Strategy – Participant Information forms are complete, submit both forms attention to:
